I took the afternoon off work and drove from Lincoln City after making an appointment with your dealership to get two new keys made for my car. I had confirmed on the phone that the parts would be available. After waiting an hour at the dealership, I was informed that both keys were damaged during the process and unusable, so I would need to return for another appointment.
This experience was very disappointing, especially considering the time and pay I lost—five hours off for nothing. As a lifelong Toyota owner, I’ve always had good experiences in the past, so this situation was surprising and frustrating. I hope you’ll consider how much inconvenience this has caused your customers and look for ways to improve your process in the future.

When I arrived, I told the customer service agent what was going on with the TPMS. I also told him I wanted an oil change. He told me they would take care of it, with no other information given. 90 minutes later, I was told that the diagnostic on the TPMS was just about done, but fixing the issue would be about 45 minutes longer. I should have been given a window of time in the beginning, along with your company asking me if I wanted a ride home to wait. No such offer was made until I complained that it was taking an inordinate amount of time.
I finally got a ride home. An hour later, I got a call to let me know the car was ready. I asked for someone to pick me up to bring me back to the dealership. An hour later, the guy called me to let me know he’d be here in another 15 minutes. I finally got back, and the car was finished. But all the time it took should have been explained to me at the beginning of the day. I had work to do at home, and I wasted almost two hours sitting there, when I could have been home to work.
I didn’t expect the exact times for the repair. What did expect was an offer to get me home so I didn’t have to just sit there.
