Please refund the unexpected “credit surcharge” immediately. This hidden fee was never discussed, and I did not agree to it. In all my years of paying by credit card at dealerships, I have never encountered such a surcharge—especially it is never mentioned upfront. This is not an appropriate or ethical way to conduct business.
If I do not receive the refund promptly, I will have no choice but to adjust the rating I promised—from 11 down to 1—for both you and your dealership.
Moreover, please clarify how the sales tax was calculated. I was told the $570 for the battery was after tax and fees, plus $250 (and its associated sales tax). The $570 + $250 = $820 already appears as the “Total Charges” on the invoice before the $70 coupon discount.
What tax rate was used to arrive at more than $32 in sales tax on the $250? Providing clear and transparent pricing will definitely contribute to the rating.
