I have a problem with my displays. They go out every so often. I had to pay $400+ for you to diagnose and reset the system. I spent thousands of dollars for the best Toyota electronics coverage. I was told that if they can’t find a part I have to pay the $400+. That is ridiculous. If it’s not normal there IS SOMETHING WRONG! The fact it can’t be found shouldn’t require me to pay. I was a Honda dealer for 30 years. I would go to the ends of the earth to get things covered by good will or with the insurance coverage. In this case the service writer didn’t even bother to call the insurance company and finally at my insistence called. He did a lack luster/indifferent call. I would have been arguing my customers case and if unsuccessful call Toyota to have it covered by Good Will. I am very dissatisfied with the service. Toyota of Bellevue in WA would have gone to bat for me. As things stand now I am very dissatisfied with this incident. I planned to replace my Audi next year. As it stands I’ll drive to Oxnard to buy it.
