10 am appointment. Kyle told me that it was possible that they could not do the recall work when I first arrived because I didn’t have the right kind or size of battery. He told me I needed a Toyota lifetime battery several times. He wrote up the paperwork and sent me to wait in the waiting room, telling me that he would know very quickly whether it could proceed. I was unhappy and told him that I would not be buying a battery there that day— considering this a bait and switch. At about 11:40 I texted him to ask when my car would be ready, thinking it was being done because he hadn’t let me know that it would not. He responded that they hadn’t found out yet whether it could proceed. I replied to his text, which he did not answer, so I talked to Mike, and Kyle magically appeared to defend himself, and blame the service technician for the delay. There is nothing in the recall paperwork saying I had to have a Toyota lifetime battery, or even any specific battery. Kyle finally admitted that I could have any size 35 battery. It took more than 30 minutes for them to return my car after I demanded it be returned to me. Two and a half hours of wasted time because Kyle didn’t follow through on his promise that he’d know right away whether they would do the recall.This is the worst customer service and service I’ve ever experienced in an auto dealership.
