I asked for my intermittent crank and intermittent noise while cranking to be fixed. The started was replaced and car cranks but the noise still persists. I asked for the noise to be fixed along w the crank issue and that didn’t happen I was lead to believe the starter was the cause of both intermittent cranking and intermittent start noise so I paid $1100 for a starter motor to be replaced and I’m still having to noise that I had from when I initially brought the car in. Brought the car in 4 times for this issue. First time they said it was the battery, second time they replaced starter motor and said they’d fixed the problem. After noise resumed I brought in a 3rd time and was told they heard a noise but I should ignore it, sound is to bad to ignore so I took car back a 4th time and they are saying something else other than starter is causing the noise. I asked why didn’t you tell me the noise hadn’t been fixed whe mn u replaced the starter because you told me the car was fixed and I shouldn’t have any more problems and that wasn’t the case as this is not the new noise it’s the same noise I’ve been hearing the same noise I asked you to fix and if it wasn’t coming from the starter why didn’t you properly diagnose the noise and make repairs for it when you fixed the starter Vs. Telling me the issues w my car had been Awil es when they weren’t. All 4 times w/ Luis my service rep were not good as he calls to late to update on status of car. After the 3 rd visit when he told me to ignore the noise I took my car heard the noise again and told him noise to bad to ignore and id record he said send recording to his email. I emailed recording to him on sept 19 or sept 20 he never replied. I took car back in on Oct 2 and asked him why didn’t he reply to email he said he was on vacation like that made it ok to not reply to the email at all. He said I could leave car would take to days needed to replace vct actuator and drive belt tensioner as both could be cause of the noise…why do I have to pay to get 2 things fixed that could be the cause of the noise if you need to keep car to replicate noise to identify the problem then do that instead of trying to get me to get 2 things repaired that may be the cause of the problem. Then he told me the cost of 2 repairs on the phone were $1146 w a 250 discount because of my trouble and that they’d give me a loaner. I said I’d set up a time to bring my car back, picked up the car later looked at paper work and it says charges would be $1896. I’m so tired of the experience that I’ve had all over the same problem that wasn’t properly diagnosed and fixed. I’m so annoyed and to top it off I read all kinds of complaints about starter issues and how many seem to have several problems getting starter noises resolved I shared that w Luis and he down okayed it I also wanted to believe that the dealership w so much experience on fixing these cars would take care of this issue and this just isn’t the case now I’m one of the many Honda owners that so many problems and pay lots of money to fix problems associated w starting the car.
