The part required was on back order for more than 2 months. It would have been more customer-focused if GM would have provided more information to the dealers and, therefore, the customer.
Why is it on back order? Where is the part being produced? Why is there no ETA? As a customer, we can better understand and accept when 1) more detailed information is provided, and 2) more proactive contact from GM to customer. Two months is a long time to wait for a part with no proactive communication to customer.
