Curtis was our service rep. We were there for an oil change, and new brakes. As time went on a couple new items were discovered to be "needed," including an air filter and oil leak. The oil leak would require an extended stay and a rental car or another visit at a later date and possibly leaving the car then as well. We opted to leave the car right then. We had an extended warranty which covered a rental or courtesy car rental there at the dealership. Curtis informed us that there were no vehicles at the dealership to dole out so he said we can get one from Enterprise. I agreed to go there. Then, I get a call from Enterprise, they were closing at 12 noon. It was 11:35. They asked if I could be there by 11:45. I informed them that there was no way, because the dealership had my car, so they sent a van to pick us up. We get to Enterprise and are informed that they need a credit card. I don't have a credit card and have never rented a car. That is something someone else handles for me. I am bothered that Curtis just essentially dumped us. Enterprise wasn't willing to take a credit card from my husband over the phone, so right as they were about to close, we got a ride back to the dealership. I called Curtis while I was standing in the dealership and he was at lunch. Fine. But his attitude just SUCKED! What happened to customer service? He could have asked "do you have a credit card?" He could have been a bridge for a customer and asked if they had ever rented a car before. My husband had to hustle down in Escondido to secure a car for us before the Enterprise closed there, and come up to get us, which was no easy task as we have a child with special needs in the mix. I would have appreciated more information from Curtis, more of an effort to help, a better attitude and less of one that was like "good luck with that, it's not my problem how you get a car." When we picked up my car there was no explanation of what was done to the car and in fact Curtis wouldn't even really make eye contact with my husband as he explained how to get reimbursed for a portion of our rental car. I simply hope that in the future Curtis is taught about customer service. Take the extra step with people. Don't just dump them. This dealership is literally in the business of connecting with people. Their vehicles carry the lives of people who mean the world to someone else. DO BETTER. ????
