I think the mechanics need to download the vehicles' computers when age & time from service are more significant than mileage. That was the root cause of my vehicles issues. The vehicle is a modified handicap van. Short, essential trips with lengthy layups over the past year created the problems. But failing to download, recognize & diagnose lead to significant failures.
