My case was escalated to the manager, Arbenz Anton as Delano gave me the poorest service I've ever received in any Honda center. I explained the problem of my car to Delano and signed up for a diagnostic service. I left my car there for 5 hours. He called me after 5 hours and said that they did an oil change and I need to come back after 1,000 miles driving since the oil consumption test from another repair center doesn't count. I told him that I was not informed this at all in the morning and I wouldn't have left my car for 5 hours for an oil change if he told me. He started to give me an attitude and lied saying, "yes, I did. I told you this morning that we need our own oil consumption test." I asked him why I would be upset if he told me that Honda is going to do an oil change and need to come back after 1,000 miles for the own oil consumption test. And if he really told me that, why would I leave my car for 5 hours for the 1-hour service? He responded," I have no idea why you're upset because I told you that."/ I was just shocked by his response. If he didn't know that Honda needs to do the own oil consumption test, he should have checked and called me right away when they're going to do the oil change, but he called me after 5 hours and tried to charge me an oil change that I had never signed up for. My car was not even due for an oil change. He even insisted, "what does your paper tell you, huh?" When I said,"I'm looking at it." Then he said, "yeah, read it, what does it say?" I said,"It says I signed for a diagnositic test at $159.95." He said,"no, it doesn't, it tells you that we need our own oil consumption test."/ There was no way I could communicate with someone like he who is lying and just insisted what is not even on the paper and tried to make me pay for the oil change./ I spoke with the manger when I arrived. Arbenz explained how it should have been handled and waived the oil change charge. He was a wonderful manager, so my anger subsided. But I asked the manager to note in my account that I never want to have Delano as my service representative.
