I checked in my car and was told that it would take about an hour for my Handsfree Link to be reset to factory settings. I then had to follow up where they were at around 8am. I was told that he saw my car almost done, and it should only take about 20 minutes more. At 8:30am, I was told it should take about half an hour. Mind you, I had to go to work, so since I was told that it would take about an hour when I checked in at 7:15am, I'd be able to start working on time. At around 9:15am, I went over to the mechanic personally to see what the problem was. He said my car needed a software upgrade and said it was his first time doing it. His laptop apparently was slow in downloading the software. After being strung along several more times, the issue was finally resolved and I was able to leave Honda with my car at 11:15am, FOUR HOURS after check-in! Imagine if I didn't have an understanding boss?! I could have been fired or placed on warning for being late several hours due to being misinformed about the ETA by SEVERAL hours!!!
