I’ve brought my Toyota to Roseville Toyota for years with great results; however, this time was different. I’m not sure if it’s a result of the pandemic or what. All I know is that the customer service during my making an appointment as well as waiting at Toyota to pay for and pick up my car was sub par.
I purchased my tires at Toyota, yet when a tire is going flat, I was told I had to make an appointment because they couldn’t take walk-ins. Seriously!!! The tire will be flat by the time I could get in!!!
When I arrived to pay for and pick up my car, the service advisor wasn’t at his desk. The advisor sitting next to him told me to ‘please wait. He’ll be back soon.” Five minutes went by and he still hadn’t shown up while the advisor next to him looked at his computer and cell phone. I finally walked up to the advisor next to my service advisors desk and asked if I could just pay for my car so I could leave. He begrudgingly walked over to his coworkers desk, grabbed my paperwork, and assisted me with check out.
As a customer, I was made to feel as if I was causing an inconvenience when in fact, I was the one inconvenienced. I’m looking at Yelp reviews for auto mechanics that can work on my car. As this post-pandemic version of customer service is the new way Toyota does business, they can say goodbye to mine. Going forward, when I do need a new vehicle, Honda will be my go to.

Oil change and check fluids along with tire rotation took about four hours when they estimated one and a half. I had to call them to see if the car was ready. Paperwork wasn’t in order they send me to a different person twice. When I try to get my keys they miss placed them because of wrong key ring number I had to wait 23 min for them to figure out where my key was. Lastly my door handle has grease on it. So unorganized. This was my first visit and last.

Had to wait 2 1/2 hours after being first told 1 h 15 minutes at the most. Later told they just started on my car when in fact it was another 40 minutes before they actually started on it. I had a group of people coming to my house and if I had at least been told ahead of time I could have postponed the meeting. Not good business at all!
