To Whom It May Concern, I had a coupon for a synthetic oil change and brake service/tire rotation, so I brought my 2008 civic Si in for an oil change and brake service on 09/01/2023. Upon bringing my vehicle in for service, the service writer tried to sell me the incorrect type of oil for my car!!! First I was told that my car needs 5w20 oil, next I was told by another employee that my car uses only 0w20 weight oil. I told both employees to pop the hood of my car and look at my cars OEM oil cap, which states to only use Mobil 1 5w30 weight synthetic oil. I then proceeded to show them my cars original owners manual which also states to use 5w30 weight oil. They were baffled. I also asked for my tires to be inflated because they were a bit low. I asked for 5w30 synthetic oil, and ended up receiving 5w30 synthetic blend oil, (which I’m not entirely happy with, but at least it’s the correct weight oil that I’ve been running the entire life of the car) Upon picking up my car the next day i noticed that my brake pads were only blown off with compressed air (not actually cleaned/calipers lubed like I paid for) Also my brakes squeak now and they never squeaked before…. Tires were not rotated even though they have half tread left, and my tires weren’t even inflated to the proper levels. I had to ask again a second time for my tires to be inflated to the proper levels. There was even a tire pressure light on the dash from the start, And…Still I received my car with under inflated tires… Normally i don’t write these types of reviews but I feel that something needs to be said about my unsatisfactory experience.
