Eric was respectful this time, even though he kept calling me Diane instead of Denise.
The sales manager however stood right beside me in the waiting area outside the sales office and spoke to a friend, both without masks. I asked about this, and he replied, "I'm talking to my friend" as if this is a reason to not wear a mask. He did not show concern for why I was asking about masks as we are in the middle of numbers going up daily due to Covid 19. He then told me to "calm down" instead of putting in his mask or apologizing right away and fixing the situation. The sales manager was unprofessional and condescending. Not the type of behavior you would expect at an establishment where I just spent $650. I reported this to the service manager and asked that the General Manager call me, he never did. No surprise. This is consistent with the attitude I see and will be writing Honda corporate as this has been my experience for years at this dealership.
I had hoped with new ownership/management this dealership's customer service would have improved. At least most wear masks now, a few still half do, one didn't at all.
Other experiences under old ownership and/or management have happened but improved with service department. However the sales department is not caring of the customer's needs at all. Consequently, the 2018 Clarity I own, I purchased at a Costa Mesa Honda Dealership since the sales rep didn't want to show me the car I went to see once in Corona...."unless I planned to buy that day", he told me. That older white gentleman chose the white family to me that day ( I am an African American women.) This dealership has many old school males who do not like assertive women in my opinion.
