Car issue was diagnosed but paperwork took an inordinately long time. I asked if I could leave and the paperwork be finished since the car was dine, I felt dismissed, even a bit mocked. While documented as if it had been done it was not (tire maintenance light is still on). And when asked if I wanted a car wash, I said no to try to shorten what was a process that was already drawn out, but it was sent to be washed anyway which made me feel all the more dismissed. I got lectured that I should have brought car in early in the day (I made appointment with your staff) and I got lectured about how important my patience is because the paperwork is so important, has to have management oversight, or else I’d get charged. Do i really need to hear about your administrative processes as if that justifies my long wait? In the end, I’m appreciative of the major work that will be done, but when I’m called to come back to get the work done i’m not looking forward to the interaction again.

I was not happy with the cost to repair rear window on my F150. It was complicated due to a aftermarket bed lid. But the window failure after only 5 years was bigger problem. I know know it was the source of water leaking in my cab. I had to dry with hair dryers for many days several times in Oregon and now in Texas. I figured out what was happening when I parked in driveway downhill. Parkin uphill minimized the leak. But when the window started whistling at 30 mph, I discovered the broken track and no seal on the window and it was the ROOT cause of a couple years of grief. I am happy Ford has stepped up to minimize cost of repair. Cost of repair is high due to aftermarket lid on the bed. Still, the time I spent peeling back and drying carpet, putting towels under the carpet and worrying about what would happen if I got mold and mildew was tiresome and worrying. Hopefully the window fixes the leak and carpet drys and all is good for another 50k miles or whenever I get tired of the truck.
