I bought my truck from Grapevine Ford and have been coming to the dealership for about 5 years, and like everything about it except one thing: the time it takes when bringing in my vehicle for service. I used to do routine service as a job, so although I don’t work at Grapevine Ford, I have some idea of what I’m talking about. I always set appointments because I figure that will give me the best odds of a timely visit. But I can't recall a time when I have made it out of there under 2 hours, even with a routine oil change/check up service. I got an oil change with a tire rotation and wash this time, and it took just over 2 1/2 hours. It makes it difficult to plan anything with such uncertainty of when the work will get done. Bottom line: if I set an appointment, and I am there on time, I should have my vehicle up on a rack before anyone else who doesn’t have an appointment. In my experience at Grapevine Ford, that is not the case. Otherwise, why offer appointments?
