When I bought the vehicle it was a very fair deal, $13,000.00, 40,000 mi. 6 speed. Since then I’ve had to replace the starter, which is not a Bosch product, something made in Italy and not repairable, both rear coil springs, and I don’t tow with it or treat it roughly nor drive it during winter months. And now the latest was a seal in the clutch slave let go and spewed fluid into the clutch plate and other internal parts. $4500.00 repair. All of a sudden this car wasn’t such a good deal. My understanding at purchase time through the salesperson Alex Marsh, and service manager was that fluids, filters, brakes, tires, were replaced, and interior was detailed, looked Great. After inquiring with service if the transmission had been looked at, fluid and filters changed it had not. The reason for going through the car and making precautionary changes were From the vehicle having set dormant for over 3 years while VW was in litigation over the emission suit. The Engines warranty was extended but it was as if the transmission/ clutch running gear received not preventative attention as the rest of the vehicle did. I have owned standard transmission vehicles, be it tractors, cars, trucks motorcycles, never had a clutch issue & now this vehicle with 88,000 mi had a problem. Apparently this should have been attended to like the rest of the vehicle had been maintained from sitting in storage. Some type of consideration on the bill should have been made since this should not have happened through normal use and low miles.

Service advisor kept me informed and enabled a positive service experience. Very positive and professional.
