I drove from west LA to Keyes Lexus as the service advisors mentioned possibility of having a loaner for an oil change. I waited 20 minutes before the service advisor came to see me for an 8am reservation. I just wanted a quick oil change and even declined the car wash. I was told there were no loaners available, but an uber could be provided. I had to ask to find out how long to expect to wait and was quoted 3 hours for an oil change. There was no respect for my time and there was no meaning to making a reservation. What was the point if I had to wait 20 minutes to talk to someone and a 30 minute oil change is quoted for 3 hours.
I even said I could wait up to 2 hours or if the uber allowance could be extended to my home, that I could wait, but the blatant disregard and disrespect was too much and I left with just my time wasted.
Forum posts from lube techs at Lexus dealerships quote 30 minutes for an oil change and inspection. Even with junior techs up to an hour. How is this good customer service to someone who made an appointment and what is the purpose of an appointment if the service advisors mentioned possibility is not on time and if the mechanics cannot deliver reasonably timed service?
The service manager, Joe, was great, and the turnaround time was as promised.
I’m highly disappointed that I drove back to Tampa and had oil dripping from the bottom of my car. How this wasn’t discovered when it was in there for service and had an inspection is beyond belief. In addition when I took the car in it simply needed to be tightened the oil filter was not fully tightened. But I received another inspection where they told me I needed brakes, I have been asking if I needed brakes for a year and a half at JM Lexus, and told no with several inspections along the way now like a miracle I did. Overall not happy with last service at JM Lexus.
