We scheduled an appointment so all we had to do was drop off the keys. Initially we thought we might wait, but decided to leave and have service call us when done. Instead, I had to "check in" and answer a bunch of questions that I already answered when I made the appointment.
I indicated we had a check book coupon for the oil change, but did not want to leave it in the event there was other service that was needed. In that case we would use a different coupon. I would present the correct coupon when we picked up the vehicle. I was told that was fine.
We received the call the car was
I thought I was going to come in, present the coupon, have the final paperwork completed, sign and leave. presented the coupon and the service writer proceed to examine the coupon like he never saw one before (about 5 minutes), then went to the service mgr and had a lengthy discussion, then came back and said I had the wrong coupon, I needed a synthetic oil coupon. Then as I pointed out it WAS for synthetic, he processed the coupon. It was late in the day, I was pretty tired and just wanted to get in and out. I understand the need to do the final paperwork, but the minute examination?? Especially at the end of a LONG day when my expectation was set at a different level (in part, by Saratoga Honda's excellent service in the past, and in part by being told to "make an appointment and drop off the keys" for the fastest service.
I compare this to the oil change Saratoga Honda performed on my other vehicle 2 days previous. Just walked in unannounced, was written up (Vicki), given a ride home, called when the vehicle was ready, picked up, presented the coupon (we have a book for each vehicle), checked out and was on my way. Clean and easy. 5 Star.
Always happy with good, honest service. It is sometimes hard to find. This far I am happy with Saratoga Honda.
