The report from your technician mentioned that the issue is the steering wheel damper (P/N 45713-47030) with an repair estimated cost of $446. The cost of the part was about $30. https://udpcsi.com/A2SVWHM@54DS When I mentioned this to the service representative, Yaroline, she mentioned that the technician estimated is for the labor. Yaroline mentioned two days earlier that for the PRIUS 2014 the steering wheel damper can not be replaced because it is sealed. The complete steering column assembly (P/N 45250-47230) needed to be replaced with a cost of $2300 ($1660 part, 400 labor plus taxes). Looking in Chat GPT, I asked if the steering wheel damper can be changed on a PRIUS 2014? Yes. The steering wheel damper (Toyota part 45713-47030) on a 2014 Toyota Prius can be replaced without replacing the entire steering column. Because of this I have trust issues with the Adriel Totoya dealer in Dorado. I was looking to buy a car but most likely I will look somewhere else.
