I took my truck in to get my 10,000 mile service before I moved. They turned off my app remote services while they were doing it but didn’t reactivate it. I move over 3 hours away. I called to get so help to get it turned back on. First service connected me to the IT guy who pick up the phone and I heard his cursing at someone. He said it was service that deactivated it so he said he would talk to them and get back to me but he didn’t. I called back and talked to a service guy and he said he’d never deactivated an app remote start while working on a vehicle. Well that’s not smart if true because someone could start the vehicle with the app while it’s being worked on. The app says it can’t preform that function while vehicle is being serviced and to try again after service is completed so they definitely disabled it. So then that top notch service guy told me to call Toyota directly even tho they are the ones that messed it up. So I did and Toyota told me what I had already figured out and she called the dealership where I bought my truck and they said I could drive it all the way back down there and they’d fix it or I can take it to a dealership where I moved to get it fixed but they weren’t going to pay for it. So I called and asked to speak to the manager of the dealership and was put on hold for 30 mins to just be told he had left to go to a doctors appointment and wouldn’t be back till Monday. So I’ll be calling Monday to talk to him and I’ll tell him what I think of the people and service at his dealership.
