I had an appointment for a simple oil change and tire rotation at 12:30 PM, but didn’t leave the dealership until after 5:30 PM — over five hours for basic maintenance. That’s completely unacceptable.
During the visit, the service department told me that my windshield washer fluid hose needed to be replaced, and quoted me nearly $900 for the repair. I declined the service because I know it’s a $20 part I can replace myself. They claimed that if I had approved it, the work would have been done by 5 PM. Funny enough, even without authorizing the repair, my car still wasn’t ready until after 5.
I watched multiple customers who arrived after me get in and out quickly, while I sat for hours. To top it off, when the service rep finally said, “Your car’s been done,” we went outside — in dangerous lightning with our kids in tow — only to find our vehicle wasn’t even pulled up yet. No one thought to check or bring it inside for us before sending us out into the storm. Eventually, someone brought the car into the garage, but by then, the experience was already frustrating and disappointing.
This visit felt disorganized and unprofessional. If an oil change and tire rotation take five hours, and your staff isn’t even checking that the car is actually ready before sending families outside in severe weather, then something is very wrong with your operations.
Also we noticed the promise time on the paperwork we received on the vehicle was 13:30 and we didn’t leave until after 1700.

I had to wait despite my arrival 25 minutes before my appointment @ 12:30 pm. R. Kindle’s kindness was commendable despite my snide comments about a previous car owner that had interminable concerns, delaying my turn to be attended to. I’m happy with the immediate & courteous maintenance service at Toyota. My car drives like butter!
