A weird thing occurred. My vehicle was registered in my name as owner but in a different person's name as the registered driver. So the service document was for my car but in a strangers name. This was not yet resolved when I finally left. Would like to know it has been corrected. My name was also mispelled in the records and the phone # and address on my receipt is not mine.

Came in for a few concerns, the biggest of which was a loose battery clamp. My car didn’t start twice in two days. I contacted my AAA service and the tech came out and showed me the problem, checked my battery and alternator and diagnosed the issue as a loose battery clamp. He rigged it by tightening a piece of lead between the clamp and connectors so I could drive until I came into the shop. I did not inform Honda of this and requested a new battery clamp along with my other planned services. I dropped my car off around 730 am and came back after 5 because of my work day. Without even getting into any of the other recommended services that were completely unnecessary and painfully overpriced that I opted out of, they never fixed the problem. When checking out, they informed me the battery clamp was fine. I assured them that was not the case. The individual who I was working with at the time walked out to my vehicle with me to check it out and the piece of lead was still there. They had never touched the battery, as far as I can tell. We spoke to the manager and she got the head of shop to come check it out. I watched him drive my car back to the service shop and in less than 10 minutes he came back in and showed me it was fixed. I asked if he replaced the clamp as I originally asked them to do. He said the paperwork didn’t show that I needed it replaced, that there must have been a breakdown in communication. After that discussion, where I did not get a new clamp, we went back inside and they knocked 15% off my total bill. While I appreciate the effort from the afternoon crew, this is honestly embarrassing and unacceptable to me. I informed him that I won’t be returning to their shop. I have owned multiple Honda CR-Vs over the years and have always preferred to go through Honda for repairs and service. After this, I have reconsidered that approach. If you miss something that simple, I won’t trust you with my vehicle. You have lost a customer. End of rant. Cheers
