I had an estimated time of 1.5 hours at my 8:35 drop off. I called at 12:02 and 1:08 and left messages for a service call back. At 1:40 I spoke with the main switchboard in an effort to have some response from service. I did get a call back at 1:52 and was told that they were just finishing my service. I understand that the original tone was an estimate; it seems reasonable to inform the customer that 1.5 hours will actually be 5 hours. It makes me wonder if I had chosen to wait if my car would have been serviced at 8:45 - it seems that by leaving I gave an implicit consent to work the car in at your convenience. I did finally get a call at 5:13 responding to the two messages that I left on the ‘back line’ which hadn’t been checked? Seems like a flaw to put a caller through to voicemail on a line that will not be checked.
