Service agent was a gem. Just concerned about the news I received about needing brakes changed @ a little over23,000 miles. The car is over 5 years old & has barely been driven.
I need to understand how brakes wear out without being engaged.

I brought in my Toyota Tacoma 2018 because of an issue I was having that was very similar to a TSB that had been put out. After requesting to test drive with the mechanic to show them the problem, something Alex and I had agreed upon doing prior to me showing up the day of my appointment. I was told I would not be able to drive with the mechanic and that he would duplicate my concern on his own. When returned my vehicle I was told by Alex the mechanic had drove it and diagnosed it transmission failure. On a 2018 Tacoma with 80,000 miles. The mechanic/ service advisor did not follow through in my concern to update techstream or check possible TSB remedies for bulletins posted for specific model and make( which there are many). The mechanic did not pull the transmission pan or check the transmission fluid quality or level. The only stated that the mechanic checked tire Air pressure, oil level, and the other components of a multi point inspection which does not include any transmission related components. When I asked the service advisor why they came to the conclusion I had transmission failure, he couldn’t give me a valid cause of diagnosis. I feel that my concern was overlooked and that the real issue was not addressed I am upset that they failed to implement the correct diagnosis measures that would be important in determining the issue with my truck.

Had nothing to do with Zeke and he helped to resolve it but when I returned to my vehicle I found that all of my quarters had been taken.
My appointment was 7am, I came in at 645am. I'm told it'll take a couple of hours. At 930 I went up to the counter to check on status of the service, the girl called him and said he'd go to the back to check. 15 minutes passed and no call back! I even texted a reply to the text sent to me when I checked in and no response. I waited and waited, it's now 1020, I went up to the front and asked the same girl, she called him and was told he told me it won't be ready till 11 like he informed me. I told her HE NEVER TOLD ME it'll take 4 hours, no call, no text. It's now 1110. Still no one has called me. As I was approaching the front desk, I got a text that the car is ready. I was very surprised when I had to pay over $600+ whn he told me he'd only replace the front brake pads at $289. When I asked, the girl told me it was the front and the back! What lousy customer service! He wasn't clear with the service I needed, the wait was not as promised and the front desk was a snob, no smile, no thank you!
Adriana was extremely helpful and took care of me, my car, and the rental I needed to travel while the work was being done. Thanks again! Give her a raise!!!
