My girlfriend brought in my 4Runner to your shop because the Audio System has been faulty resetting itself at random times. She was advised the software needed to be updated. So she dropped it off. A few hours later, the job was complete and the car was ready to be picked up. She paid $50 for the service. As she drives away, the vehicle began to do the same thing over and over. The system kept resetting itself so she turned around and brought the vehicle back in. This time she was told the system is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced completely and the cost would be between $800 to $900. So we paid $50 for nothing?! The lady said we couldn’t get our $50 back because “the update is a requirement to get a new audio system” which begs the question why would a Toyota dealership install an audio system with an outdated software in the first place. We basically wasted our time and money for nothing. Our issue was not resolved, but actually we were suggested to spend more money. I must say this was not a good experience, we expect more from the “technicians and specialists” at Toyota because that’s why we customers pay a higher dollar per hour, under the notion, your folks know what they are talking about not just “throwing things at the wall to figure out what sticks”

My service experience with Jd Redden was a pleasant one. He kept me informed pertaining to the progress of my car and answered any questions that I had for him to my satisfaction.
It was determined in December that the visor was faulty. We were told in December a new part will be ordered under warranty and will call to schedule service. This was not the case. We called and were told the parts were in and they scheduled us for today. Come In today the visor is not fixed? If the part was ordered then why was it not installed. Neither one of use has ample time for your inability to address the situation the first time. Last time my husband minivan also had multiples visits in to the dealership to correct the problem- which is still there.
Stop making things up and fix to g right the first time. I truly believe the issue is not the service. Price will not be our preferred service provider! I will take this up with Toyota via social media.
