My service on Sep 5, 2018 was to perform a download of software to enable Apple CarPlay on my 2017 S90. I purchased the car from Fredericksburg Volvo in July 2018. On Aug 15, 2018, I first raised the issue of not being able to activate the capability when I had a Check Engine light evaluation at the dealership. At that time, the IT technician and staff agreed that the download could be made at no cost to me, though not at the same time as my later Sep 2, 2018 fuel filler pipe warranty replacement. I made a separate trip to bring my car in on Sep 5th, but later in the day learned that the software package would be at my expense ($421.95). I chose not to have the download performed. I believe this determination should have been provided to me back on Aug 15th.
