I was asked for sending my car for recall service due to safety issue so I had to get a rental car from dealer. While I was driving on 605 freeway to return my rental car, there was a little **** fell off from the truck in front of me and hit my windshield so it caused a little tiny crack on it. The dealer charged me $68.00 for fixing the crack which I did not agree. Because first of all, that was not my fault or I purposely did it. Secondly, that should be dealer’s responsibility to make sure all the cars they are selling have no safety issues. I had to have this rental car and had a round trip to turn my car in and return rental car because there was a safety issue of my car. I would not have that little incident if I did not have do the recall service. I personally think dealer was responsible for that and they should not charge me for that little damage.
