Good evening Longo Lexus Sorry, in advance, for such a long note. I recently purchased (from Longo) a certified preowned GS350 with 58,000 miles with understanding it is due for "big" 60,000 mile service soon. Reached 60k and scheduled my first complimentary service with flatbed service (60k service). Greeted with an estimate of over $1,200 by tow operator (tow personnnel very nice/helpful). I questioned estimate because factory recommended service should be complimentary and a bad impression was made by already asking for money on maintenance I thought was complimentary. He called Robert **** and Robert told him to switch it to a free 65k service. The tow operator crossed out the $1200 and wrote in 65k by hand. The car was picked up at 7:30 am and I received a call from Robert at 11:00 am questioning why my car was even there, saying it wasn't due for service (odd he was questioning my actions without even seemingly checking the prior maintenance done on the vehicle, i.e. brake fluid). I told him it was my understanding that a 60k service was due and Robert said it was all done before I purchased the vehicle, at 58k miles and that he will return vehicle. I then asked him about spark plugs (which are part of 60k service) and it was then that he said that everything was probably done except the spark plugs but he is waiting to hear back from used car section to find out what was done and that plugs could be done at 65k mile service at a later time if I wanted, and would return the car. I asked him for documentation for maintenance that Lexus did to my car when it was prepped for sale as a Certified Pre-owned. He was unable to provide or immediately state. He called several hours later and said all 60k maintenance was done at 58000 miles, prior to my purchase, except brake fluid, engine air filter and plugs. Again, I requested documentation via e-mail or any type of printout of previous maintenance as this Lexus maintenance is NOT noted in the vehicle maintenance history available to owners online. He said he will let me know on Tuesday May 9th if he is allowed to release maintenance performed on my vehicle as part of reconditioning process but that it is available for any service employee if they were to check internal records. The last service noted online, available to public, on Lexus website is 50k service performed at 53,000 miles for this vehicle. No 55k service. Robert never got back to me. No emails or phone call. Why does the maintenance history on Lexus website not include the maintenance that was done on vehicle at 58k miles? Were the tires rotated? Were the batteries in the key replaced, etc? Because Robert **** says this was all done at 58k miles. This wasn't done over weekend as part of 60k mile service, as recommended, right? It's confusing because you are saying you did all this service, but no documentation. I feel it is advantageous for the vehicle maintenance history you offer online to be complete. When I purchased the vehicle, the salesman said that new front brake pads were installed and this was written, by hand, on the 161-point inspection, but no note online indicating this was actually done...if it was actually done. It seems strange that some maintenance is not reported or am I misinformed? Thanks for your time. Email is preferred method of correspondence, Thanks again, Mike.
