To whom it may concern,
I brought my Honda Accord in to have the defrost and air conditioning worked on. David said the needed to get parts from back east somewhere and was going to take a couple more days to finish the job. Then I received a call stating “they needed to take the aftermarket stereo out in order to finish fixing the issue and replace it back to a stock stereo?” I have never heard of something like this. When I was advised my vehicle was ready to be picked up, I arrived at the dealership and David said everything was great. He walked me out to the vehicle and walked me through all the repairs and that everything was working. Then he turned on the stereo and it didn’t work at all. His explanation of this was that the technician spent so much time on the vehicle and was going to need to spend even more time to figure out the wiring for the stereo and he told the tech that my main request was that the air and defrost worked so just leave the stereo alone and not to worry about it. I was so angry I just left the dealership. While driving home I noticed the storage door under the stereo now wouldn’t close and apparently was not lined up apparently? When I returned home I called the service manager and explained the entire experience and how disappointed I was. I just purchased a new Honda Civic from this dealership because I believe in making purchases in the same community I live in. I am second guessing now. I’m second guessing even taking my new Civic in there for service. The manager said he would get everything taken care of to my satisfaction. He called me the next day and said they were ordering a new stereo and should arrive in a week. We took it back for the second time and now everything works accordingly. Thank goodness for the service manager. I’m still debating if I will ever take my vehicles to that location for service and I may take my business elsewhere when I make my next purchase as well.
