Entered service area, my service without face covering throughout sign in process. Being a director at a local hospital, I found this a careless disregard for safety. Service rep failed to notify me when my vehicle was finished even though I said that I am waiting in lobby for my car. Service tech then became argumentative and just made excuses for his failure. I waited over 1 hour more than necessary to get my car returned to me. Manager comped my oil change but declined to meet with me. Later that day, service tech called me to re-hash the events but just became argumentative again.
Easy solution would be for service to verify contact info with customer when signing in.
Now that me vehicle is getting close to warranty expiration, I cannot imagine any reason to return to Surprise Honda.
Convenient location but terrible customer service.

I took my CR-V in for service because of the following problems with the display on the dash:
1 While driving, the map function freezes up at times. To resolve, I must park the car, then turn the ignition off and on again.
2 The display is blank with no information at times except I am able to touch the brightness control and get the brightness level displayed. Turning the ignition off then on again resolves this problem.
3 The display freezes at times when in the source tab. Unable to select the menu tab. Turning the ignition off then on again resolves this problem.
4 One time the display went into “Phone Settings” without me selecting it then continuously scrolled through the options. Turning the ignition off then on again resolved this problem.
The service rep “Levi” wrote up a work order for repair. He estimated the repair to be one hour labor which is $140 if the fix only required a software update. Turns out the labor was 0.3 hours but I was charged for a full hour. He did a great job of contacting the warranty company and they said they would cover any additional charges above my deductible of $200 since I was not at an Auto Nation Dealership.
While my wife and I were in the waiting area, Levi came in and advised that the software was being updated for the radio. He believed that would correct the problem of the blank screen and the screen freezing at times. When I asked if he believed it would also resolve the other two issues, especially the problem with the map function freezing up at times, he said that I had not told him about the map issue when I brought the car in. When I re-stated that I had told him, he got quite defensive (almost rude) insisting that I had not. I told him that problem needed to be identified along with the other issues and if necessary, I needed to speak with his manager to be sure that it was.
Upon paying my bill, Levi pointed out that a comment about the GPS Navigation had been added and that the work done today was not related to that problem.
There was no mention that I could see in the completed work order of the problem with the screen continuously scrolling through the options on one occasion.
In summary, it appears that two of the four problems I identified were not addressed with this service call. In order to avoid any future misunderstanding, I plan to have a written summary of any items I am aware of that need attention so that a service writer cannot claim they were not advised of the problem.
Overall, I am very disappointed in the experience I had today and am uncertain that all of the problems I came in to have fixed have been properly resolved.

I gave him a coupon for an oil change for $44.95 but was charged a different price. I didn’t realize the mistake until I got home. It was only a small amount and not worth the drive back in. I think he left for lunch and the gentleman I talked to apologized for not noticing my car was done..if I hadn’t gotten up to ask if my car was done who knows how much longer I would have sat there. I should have been more observant.

David is AMAZING, and we will ALWAYS ask for him when its time for our regular service. He has always gone above and beyond for us. My wife handed him our key fob that has the battery removed and I couldn’t find a replacement (probably due to the holidays, who knows), she went to give him the working job, and he told her he has battery replacements available! This year has been rough financially, and the little things really mean the world. I’ve owned a few brand new cars over the years, and by far our experiences with Surprise Honda, from looking, to purchase/financing, and even through maintenance (I’m normally the DIY type) has been the BEST!
Please make sure to keep David on the team, at all costs! He is an asset to your establishment that needs the recognition that he deserves!
