I went in for an oil change. It was a lengthy process, but I was informed beforehand that it would be. I conveniently received a text message when it was done and also prompted that I could pay online so I don't have to go inside the service area again and that my car would conveniently be waiting outside after payment was processed. This was not the case, I had to go inside, the gentleman inside asked me for my payment again. I mentioned I had already paid online. He then mentioned that my Honda associate would bring my car. It took a little while, but when the car came up and I was about to hop in, it was the wrong car. I had to wait again for the correct car to come up so I can drive back home.

Juan acknowledged us (family was with me and had to use 2 cars so we could drop off the van for maintenance) right away and was very accommodating, especially after I had told him about my experience with “Jesus” at Express Service department.
I called Express Service department earlier to verify that I could drop off our van (Monday afternoon) so Hardin Honda could work on it early the following day and was told that I can, indeed, drop the van off. I’ve always had my maintenance services done at Express Service department and had always positive experience, specifically with Darin and Adrian.
We got to Hardin Honda Express Service side at around 5:30 pm. I parked our Accord in front of the building and had my wife pull up inside since she was the one driving the van (that needs service). I exited the Accord and went next to our parked van and was looking around for someone that would help us. I saw someone inside the building and the guy was on his cellphone (not talking to someone… probably browsing). This guy took his time before he finally came out. I explained to him what we were there for and got upset because he took his time coming out just to let us know that they are closed and that we should’ve went to the other side. I wouldn’t have gotten upset if he acknowledged us right away so we could’ve gone to the right building right away. I asked this guy’s name and he said his name is: Jesus.
We left the Express Service department and went on the other side and was immediately greeted by Juan. I was explaining to him that I am upset with the way the other guy interacted with us. Juan was very apologetic and very understandable of our predicament. As I’ve explained to Juan, I am a regular customer and would always leave a positive review of Hardin Honda because that has been the case always… so far. Until my experience with Jesus. I apologized to Juan for sounding upset and he shrugged it off and remained accommodating and professional. He explained to me what is to expect and around what time our van should be done the following day.
The following day, got a phone call from Juan to keep me updated. When we picked up the van, again, Juan was very accommodating and quickly fetched our van so we could head on home. Thank you!
As always, we appreciate the hard work of the good people of Hardin Honda Service Department! Thanks Juan for restoring my faith in the department! Stay safe, everyone!

Car was “diagnosed” but there was no straight answer as to why the vehicle is shaking/vibration out of what’s considered normal during idle in Drive. Couple things were suggested but no clear answer as to why, also said that extended warranty wouldn’t cover it because no new parts are required. Which makes no sense, the vehicle has an issue and it was not addressed at all, pretty much just ignored. Very very unsatisfied, such a waste of my time and I will definitely be contacting corporate/warranty department because it seems like my vehicle has an obvious issue but nobody wants to do anything about it.

David was kind & couteous and could only tell what he was told 1.a safety check by another shop showed missing bolt(s) from timing belt job. Week passed. 2. No, bolt stuck in block. Maybe some one else messed with car. Not so. Need to send whole car to machine shop. Another week. 3. Car put together but it pings. Car started with timing belt off. Another week. Sending head to machine shop. 4. Head returned but not done properly. Send head back to machine shop. Another week. 5. Head returned. Car finally fixed.
Two weeks to three, I had no car to drive but I had just retired. If I were working, this would have been a grievous hardship.
David did his best to keep me informed and I allowed time for work to be done during the week.
BUT, why were there so many problems. It seems the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. Was it the mechanics? Is it a lack of communication and tracking work done on a car?
I am a long time customer at Hardin and was well treated, but this experience seemed like a comedy of errors especially with behind the scenes communication of where the car was in the fixing process.
Through all of this, David snd the other car advisors were very kind and courteous.
