The lack of verification resulted in unnecessary wasted time for me. My appointment was scheduled for 12:30, and I arrived before it. However, I was greeted and my vehicle was checked in at 12:30. At 3 p.m., I inquired at the service department desk and discovered a mix-up. My vehicle was still in the waiting area and had not been serviced.
A more efficient system is required to ensure that when a vehicle is brought in for maintenance or services. When the service dept clerk collects your keys and tickets/ tags the vehicle at checked in, when the technician collects the keys and paperwork they verifies and signs in to confirm that they are servicing the correct vehicle.
I sincerely hope I never encounter this situation again.
