Although dealerships have a reputation for being “overpriced,” I never feel like I’m being upsold or taken advantage of here, and it gives me peace of mind to have my Camry serviced at a dealership. I don’t dread coming to Bommarito like I have at other dealerships.

Today's service seemed off...the energy or something. I received the link to the report. Which was cool, my 1st time. So I followed the report instructions on approve the additional service recommended and I sent a message in the report regarding service specials I saw on-line. My service representative said he does not see those messages and then asked me to show him. I explained to him it was what I saw on your website. Also I had questions because my end charges were higher than what was on the report. So what ia the purpose of the report if the service reps don't receive the messages and the charges are different? When coming in for a service, the last thing I need are surprises in costs. So today was a different experience and I have been coming to this location for at least the last 6 years. I am not even sure if I received the proper discounts. As the service rep did not seem to know what could and could not be applied. So I had to roll with what was stated. Then it was raining cats and dogs and I was shocked my vehicle was moved to the outside. I had to ask for assistance to my vehicle vs the vehicle being inside. That was a little different too today. I am good with the text message report vs the rep coming to visit. But if the text message report is more of a challenge to the customer service...I prefer the rep come out and talk to me like usual. Thanks a bunch for checking in.

While im ok with the quality of service, I can’t help but be concerned about the service person and the person performing the diagnostic honestly and the overall customer experience is questionable. I came in for an oil change but also had a few other problems that I wanted addressed. I explained what the issues were(tire sensors & leak by the driver side control arm). Danny(I think his name was) proceeded to tell me they would need to do a diagnostic test for $200. I responded ok would that be taken off the price of total repairs should I get it completed here? He stated no. I then asked whats the difference between the one they do in general when not requested to sell you on services you may or may not need at the time when they do an oil change or what have you. He said this one is more thorough.(that’s laughable). Upon completion of the diagnostic test i was told it was grease from the drive shaft and it should be replaced along with 3 tire sensors. I wasnt convinced it was the complete drive shaft so I showed them a pic I snapped from up under the car. Dannys reply “ oh ok i dont think he saw that, it makes more sense now” let me go tell him”. Well the professional diagnostic guy somehow missed where the leak was actually coming from so now im told its a seal that holds the arm from the drive shaft to the transmission which is sold separately from the drive shaft. I was told they had to order the parts. I said ok ill come back tomorrow to have it all completed, also while im at it lets do all 4 sensors. Prior to departure i asked if the oil change was done Danny said the tech told him no that they would do it all tomorrow. Yet upon entering my vehicle I noticed the oil change sticker. Now im concerned. Did they change the oil or not? Danny appear disheveled and overwhelmed the entire time. I then called asked if the leak wasnt coming from where he assumed at first why do i need an entire drive shaft. His response wasn’t convincing, but he put me on hold(not really I heard the conversation)to ask the tech or someone. I didnt need the drive shaft as he couldn’t “visibly” see any damage but (muffled conversation ) i mean we’re going to charge the same labor we’ll just take the DS off(other things were said but pointless to include at this point). Next day I arrive back at 7am as stated. I informed Danny that id go ahead and get the drive shaft(he proceeds with typical sales pitch as to why i should have anyway)he said he would order the part and that its local so they should get it right away. Well after 3 hours and 3 progress (maybe more)checks still no part.( if part is local why not go pick up instead of having customers wait) the final check he said it should be here before noon. I then stated i cant stay any longer they Danny though after 3 plus hours to offer a loaner. No sure why when a person is spending close to 2k on repairs why not think of the customers valued time? Anyway care was fixed but im still concerned if oil change was completed. The day prior when Danny said it wasnt completed I took the sticker off the window. The 2nd day when “completed” was when a sticker should have went up yet no sticker was placed which makes me question if it was indeed done. I would suggest working on customer relations. Maybe get Danny some help(he was definitely overwhelmed). Do better with perceived honesty. Also, since the diagnostic guy technically didnt diagnose the problem should I have even been charged the 200$? FYI This is a shortened version. They’re so many red flags I would have written a thesis.

I spent $1488. On a water pump. Bad start, but $988 for labor on a job that took less the 4 hours seems a bit much. I told them that I had other warnings on the dash to see my dealer. Which is why I came there instead of having the local shop fix it. When I got home. I still have the warning to see my dealer. After I was told there were no other codes and that they were all cleared out. Then I realized my windshield fluid was empty. Granted it is my wife’s car so I didn’t know, but for a major service like this I would have thought you could have topped off the washer fluid.
