I was also impressed by how dialed in the car was after the new brakes and tires were installed. The brakes were not “sticky” and felt comfortably broken in.

My car still isn’t fixed. And On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, I noticed my engine making unusual noises. Later that day, after getting off work, my engine light turned on. While driving on the freeway, my car began to slow down suddenly and then stopped completely on the side of the road.
I had my vehicle towed by AAA to Ontario Hyundai, where I was informed by the guy who picked up my car there was a puddle of oil underneath the car. On Thursday, Ontario Hyundai called to tell me that my oil drain plug was missing and there was no oil remaining in the engine.
Ontario Hyundai advised me to contact the last dealership that performed maintenance on my vehicle, which was Glendora Hyundai. Glendora Hyundai then towed my car to their location, inspected it, and confirmed the same issue — the oil plug was missing, and as a result, the engine seized due to lack of oil.
Glendora Hyundai informed me that they would not take responsibility and recommended I go through my insurance. However, this vehicle has only 12,000 miles and is a 2025 Hyundai Elantra, still under the manufacturer’s warranty. The only entity that has ever performed maintenance on my vehicle is Glendora Hyundai, which means the missing oil plug likely resulted from improper or negligent service.
I am requesting that Hyundai review this case immediately. Given the clear connection between the last service and the mechanical failure, I believe Hyundai and/or Glendora Hyundai should take full responsibility for repairing or replacing the engine under warranty. It’s been 7 days and they haven’t gave me a loaner car. And I desperately need a car and still nothing. My car is brand new. I’m very disappointed with Hyundai.

I have been coming to this dealership for many years. Previously, when anything needed attention like the air filter or the cabin filter or something like that needed to be changed, the service department would call you and let you know and if you wanted to do so you could say go ahead or another time, thanks. Mine really needed to be changed but I was told when I got there to pick up the vehicle so now I have to make another appointment & go there on another day and spend an hour or more till that service is completed, when just a phone call or even a txt message could have taken care of the problem today while my car was already there for the oil change.
I don’t know why or who has changed that policy but maybe someone needs to think about it.
Other than that everything went very smoothly and the service personnel who help me, was a very nice gentleman who took care of all my concerns and made sure everything was good and called me to let me know when my car was all done even though I did get txt messages also.

Cardinale Hyundai always gives the best customer service! Service Director John Tait assisted me today. I asked to be Ubered home, not knowing that you no longer offer that service. Mr. Tait did not hesitate and ordered me a Lyft driver to take me home. I found out he paid for my ride himself. What a wonderful man Mr. Tait is. His selfless act of kindness did not go unnoticed.
