Coupons were sent to me offering complimentary Winter service,
including windshield wiper change and basic engine check.
Also, coupon offered $150 off if I spent a certain amount in repairs.
I finally received the above items, but only after finding the coupons
that were sent to me by Bob Smith Toyota. Thankfully I had saved
the email so I was able to produce them when they were requested.
If I had not been able to furnish the actual “coupon”, it seems that I would not have gotten what was offered.
I bought my RAV4 and have had all of my service done at Bob Smith Toyota, which has been a LOT of money over the past 14 years.
As a LOYAL CUSTOMER, I resent being sent enticements to bring my
car in for service, only to be made to feel that I have to produce “PROOF”
that you actually sent me these enticements. It feels like being baited by Bob Smith Toyota, only to have to jump through hoops to have you honor deals that you sent to me. Even with the $150 discount and free wiper blades, I still spent $1,660. To be honest, I could have gotten my spark plugs changed for $280 cheaper than what you quoted. After this type of poor, somewhat misleading, treatment of a truly loyal customer, I would seriously reconsider having any expensive repairs done by you in the future, much less trust that it’s your honest intention to treat your loyal customers well. So, you may have made money in the short run, but you may have lost a 13+ year income stream, and a customer looking for a new car in the near future. The only redeeming reason to come back is for the professional service by Jaime Guzman.
