Today’s experience was subpar. When I dropped off my car, I let the technician know that I would be waiting at the center, even confirming they had seats/tables inside. After getting the notification to select what I wanted to get serviced, I waited for 2+ hours before finally asking for a status update. Patrick asked whether I had “just” made my choices and said he thought I had found another place to wait. I’m not sure why that matters or why he would’ve been confused. In any event, it was only after that point that they started working on my car. Then, when I went to check out, I presented coupons that looked like they offered $50 off. Only in fine print and in very confusing language did it say that actually, the coupon was for 15% off, up to $50. When I expressed some exasperation at this (I wouldn’t have opted for some of the filter changes at sticker price), the cashier said that all customers who bring in those coupons are similarly taken aback. This is a known problem! Further, I had shown Patrick the coupons when I first arrived and asked whether I could use them today. The least he could have done is point out the fine print. So much time had been wasted by that point that I really didn’t want to make a bigger deal out of either thing, but I couldn’t help feel like today, I got duped and Bob Smith Toyota lacked accountability. I’m a lifelong resident of the area and a longtime Toyota owner. I have no intention of being a pain but I was so disappointed.

I’ve been bringing various Toyota of mine, my wife and now my daughter’s to Bob Smith’s Toyota for service for the last 30 plus years. I go back to the days that Kevin Young was the service director and he brought new customers oriented service to Bob Smith. Over the years I worked with Frank, John Sobee and others time after time. As a JPL executive I have referred many peers, friends, family friends and neighbors to Bob Smith Toyota. I’ve been always offered JPL and other special offers whichever was more favorable for service. I don’t appreciate to see these going away. For the last 10 plus years, my wife and I own Lexus vehicles and we lease/purchase it from Lexus of Glendale. For EVERY service beyond those covered by complementary services by Lexus, LOG honors a 15% discount for being a JPLer and a college professor. That’s just a good business and best way to keep customers coming back. I leave in La Canada and I have been your neighbor customer for all these years. That must mean something other than taking my business for granted.

I trust Toyota but the service here is too limited. This is a date scheduled for April 18th. At that time, Goein should start the inspection first, order the parts, and ask any questions. If you are preparing the part on April 22nd, please help install it then. I coped with it. And the most important issue is attitude. The reservation time was 10:00 in the morning, and the vehicle was received, and they inspected one of the driver's seat panels and did not order any parts until 2:30 in the afternoon. Then, they contacted me again and said that they could not repair it today because there were no parts. He said. If you do not want to provide recall service, you can go to another dealer. Toyotas are everywhere. I'm sorry, but I don't trust you very much and I don't want to use this service again.
