Way too long to get this appointment (4 months). Really extreme time at the dealership for what the problem was in my opinion. If I would have had a rental, I'm sure I would have had my car back a lot quicker. I got it back yesterday. It went there on Feb 6, and 2 days before they even did "diagnostics", and another week before replacement parts were done. also, I am missing a part on my car that was on it and is now not on it. I now have to figure out how I'm going to get it back or replaced by the service dept. It is an add on, not a problem part... It does seem to cause computer program issues, but isn't a hard problem to tackle. I wasnt aware a switch would cause a new computer update. When Loganville ford had to update the computer, it was removed and then replaced after the computer update. If I knew the computer would need to be updated for the switch I would have let them know. Even the Ford Tech videos I easily came across suggested looking for add-ons when a modular failure is detected. My car did not arrive there with a modular failure. When the car was dropped off the driver lost the key in the car. Took a bit and 3 people to find it. It was also returned with a used coffee cup in it that wasn't in there when it was taken in, nor did it belong to the driver who brought it back. The collision guy (not a wrecked car, this is the second time I've brought it in for body alignment issues since getting it brand new... And sadly they can't be fixed) sped up his end because of necessity of needing the car back. I was misinformed when I made the appointment, that total service would only be 3-4 days... Not diagnostics. I expected with replacement of the switch and the collision side a week tops. I'm learning from many after the fact, it's sadly not. Coming from a Toyota world, sadly ford is very disappointing. There is very poor quality control with this vehicle as a whole, straight from the delivery line, and seems to continue.
