Took my car in for a misfire and was charged for a diagnostic and given an estimate for an unnecessary repair but my advisor could not provide me with paperwork showing diagnostic codes or proof showing that the work he suggested was actually needed. My car was repaired for $65 by another mechanic. Problem was a bad coil-a misfire-but Bev Smith Kia service wanted to charge me $917 O2 sensors and never tested for a misfire even though that's what I told them was happening with my car.
