Hi. In evaluating an employee or student, it’s helpful to give positive and constructive feedback. I appreciate the good service I received in many ways. The only thing I can offer for growth would be to present one’s information slower. What I mean is just to talk slower when telling a customer something they don’t expect, like air and engine filters need to be replaced. :)

Brought in our Odyssey to have an oil change and to have service bulletin 19-124 completed for the hard upshift issues with the van. The service bulletin was not completed. The technician did not follow the instructions in the bulletin and did not update the TCM software. We had brought in the vehicle for this issue, printed out, and provided the bulletin yet the work was not performed. Jake Haslemann advised software was up to date and the bulletin was not relevant cause the code was not present. The bulletin advises that the TCM update should be done if there is intermittent harsh or jerky upshift with steady acceleration OR MIL or OBS is on with DTC P0616. My assumption is the tech did not see the MIL or OBS on but what he failed to understand is that it is an OR not AND. The van continues to have intermittent harsh and jerky upshifts so I want the TCM update done. Ut was not. We now have to take more time, be down a vehicle again, to have the work completed. The car continues to have the exact symptoms that the bulletin is supposed to address and it's very frustrating that a lay man, who has a problematic Honda vehicle, has to research, diagnose, find a bulletin, advise tech on the work needing completion only to find out that they mis understood the instructions and failed to complete the work.
