i am extremely disappointed by the service i received at weir canyon honda by Iman Azimi. for the second time, i had to have my 2024 honda hrv jump started. it had already been giving me issues and i had taken it in to weir canyon honda to get it inspected, but it did not “fail” the test so the battery was not replaced so the problem was never solved. on january 18th, i had a AAA technician come to jumpstart my car. he jump started it and showed me that the battery was at 0% charge and the battery health was at 16%, and it needed to be changed right away. he told me that it will not hold a charge, and if i turned the car off it would likely have to be jump started again. the technician emailed me the report so i can show the proof of the battery health to the service department at the honda dealership. i was shocked to learn about terrible condition of the batteries health, as it is a relatively new car and it should not have a dead battery already, especially considering i take good care of it. nonetheless, i made an appointment to bring the car into weir canyon honda at 3:30pm the next day as the service department was not open on sunday. when i arrived around 2:55pm, multiple honda associates passed by me and ignored my vehicle, i was not helped until about 10 minutes later by iman azimi. he checked me in and i told him the repeated problem i was having, and this time i absolutely need to have my battery replaced and it should be under warranty, showing him the report from the AAA technician. he told me that in order for it to be replaced under warranty, it needed to fail their test then it can be replaced. he gave me an estimate time of two hours, and said if it failed their AAA test then it likely will fail theirs so it shouldn’t be an issue. my partner and I waited for 2 hours, after all the waiting he comes to tell us that the car failed the initial test, but it needs to fail another test that would take an additional 2-3 hours!!!! he told us that since they close at 6pm, i would have to leave my car there to finish the test and if it failed again the battery would be replaced, with the car not being ready until the next day. i was shocked to hear this, as we had already been waiting 2 hours and i was under the impression by iman that would be sufficient time to test the car and then replaced, because obviously it should indeed fail. it was clear my battery needed to be replaced, but they still wanted to do additional unnecessary testing that i was not informed about to even begin to change it. my partner and i both had our time completely wasted, and had to find a ride to get home. in addition, i am an intercollegiate athlete, with a scrimmage i had the next morning against a D1 school. i had no car to get there, and had to ask a bunch of people to get a ride, almost having to call an expensive uber. this was extremely stressful, inconvenient, and completely unnecessary as my battery should have been changed the day before. on tuesday, i finally went to weir canyon honda to pick up my car, with no apology regarding the inconveniences this had caused me. when i finally got into my vehicle, my phone was not connecting to the stereo at all and my phone was not being charged. i tried a different charging port, and it still didn’t charge (my charger and stereo never had issues charging and connecting prior to getting it serviced). i was so frustrated, and had to go back in and tell iman it was not working properly. he took my car and had it looked at, i tried to talk to a service manager at this time about the poor service i received but he was in a meeting. iman finally came around with my car and told me it should work now, and it did indeed work but ever since, it has been acting strangely. not only did i receive terrible customer service, the service done to my car was likely not done properly, causing the car to give me problems it had not before getting serviced at weir canyon honda. to top it all off, iman tried to tell me my air filter/cabin filter needed to be changed, and that he will charge me the “coupon” price of over $130. this is an insanely high price for just changing some filters, which i ended up getting both for $42 elsewhere and installed for free. if i didn’t know any better, i would have said yes, this is incredibly greedy and just a cash grab. i will never be coming back to weir canyon honda, especially not ever being “helped” by iman azimi. i have filed a complaint about my experience at weir canyon honda to honda corporate, and they have it documented that such a new car had to have a battery replaced. i will be finding a new honda dealership to get my car serviced, and will advise others to avoid this dealership. thanks for reading my feedback, i hope future customers will not have to go through the same experience, do better.
