As a loyal Honda customer, I have been extremely disappointed in Honda and NR Honda handling of the piston ring issues due to the known VCM issue. After spending $2500 for a major service AND having the misfire/spark plug replaced, NR Honda did not inform me of the known piston ring issue and let me drive off likely knowing it would again fail in months. I found this out unfortunately on a road trip with family (incl 2 young kids) where we nearly got stranded and had to rent a car to complete our vacation. When i took the car back to the dealer for the same misfire issue, I was given a $3500 bill to fix this known issue which Honda has previously settled a class action lawsuit over. NR Honda was not willing to cover the repair for this known issue nor willing to at the very least cover my out of pocket rental car costs for this whole ordeal. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of responsibility and lack of safety in this matter. I plan to take this up with Honda corporate and file a complaint/write reviews to warn other customers of these potential safety risks and costly headaches.
