I have leased 2 honda civics, the 2nd which was purchased out of the lease over the past 10 years - that's likely about 20 oil changes and never have I felt compelled to write a review for a negative experience. However, after my most recent visit with John Le - I do have constructive feedback to provide. I arrived at my appointment with a few questions about my car - the key battery, the AC and requested of course a car wash and windshield fluid. I also let John Le know that I had received documentation from Honda regarding my compressor being under an extended warranty. I wanted to make sure I was operating my AC correctly to eliminate any possibility that something was wrong with it, which I was. He then stated "I don't like the sound of it running" and did not fully elaborate on the fact that the diagnostic fee would be potentially refunded if Honda deemed something in fact wrong with the AC under the warranty - I as a customer was unsure of this and did not feel confident about proceeding with that. It felt like a fast sales pitch to a woman - after I had told him that I always run anything car related by my Dad and brother. As for the key battery - it felt like I was inconveniencing him by asking questions about my car key batteries. Using phrases like "his time is precious", etc. He had said the car appointment would be 2 hours and after 1 hour I got the text that the service was wrapping up and when I opened the recommendations, I saw my transmission fluid (which I had done recently) on there. He approached me and said "do you have a minute" instead of "we are all set for you" like he had said to other customers and how I have been approached when my car is ready to discuss every other time I had been there - it already felt like he was annoyed that he could not pull a fast sales pitch on me. When I went to the desk and told him I had done the transmission fluid - he flat out said "well where did you get that done" - it was literally on my record that I did it at Huntington Beach Honda in 2023 ! I told him I keep ALL my records in case I ever sell the car and that he needed to reprint the recommendations as it was not in fact due to be fixed. Like what the heck. Finally, he stated that "you know how important the surveys are and how tough they (Honda) are on us". Instead of asking how my service was today where potentially he could have fixed his wrongdoings. Unbelievable!!!!! In order to change the taste in my mouth, I would like to have my next oil change compensated for and I will request Clayton who I had last time and was a true JOY. He was kind, he made recommendations but was not pushy and understood it was my decision to make. So much so that I even took his advice and got my tires from your location. I look forward to hearing back from you.
