At first I was frustrated with Jeep for denying my warranty claim, but now I am finding out after 3 days on the phone with FCA, Mopar, JeepCares, Stellantis, that my service associate (Jacob) gave Chrysler the wrong information, telling them my tire carrier was aftermarket as it was installed by the dealership. This is not true, the wrangler came with the recon 35” tire package which includes the heavy duty tire carrier as a factory installed option (on the window sticker) and I confirmed with the purchasing dealership that there was not any assembly required, the jeep came like that direct from the factory as a factory installed option. Now my record says it is not factory because of your service associate, so hopefully the next dealership I visit actually knows their vehicles.
