I believe our service tech Jessie M was dishonest in our service. I had previously taken my vehicle for diagnostics to a trusted mechanic. His diagnostic revealed that our turbo was failing. This was covered under the powertrain warranty. We were then told our “ acceleration pedal” was faulty. This was not covered under the powertrain warranty. We then were charged $460 to fix the pedal. Two weeks later our check engine light popped on once again on our way to a family vacation. This caused us to turn around halfway through the trip and switch vehicles. Upon arriving at Midway for the second time in less than two weeks we were told that our turbo was the cause of the check engine light now. This obviously is covered under the powertrain warranty. This looks like shady business practices in order to charge customers. We already knew that it was the turbo and not an acceleration pedal but were told that our vehicle may have been “ misdiagnosed.”
I demand a refund of $460 for the “ misdiagnosed” acceleration pedal that did not need to be replaced from the get go.
