The service manager, Ramy Hasaballa, was difficult to understand in pronunciation and terminology. I was given a report after an oil change that my rear brakes were at 2mm and needed to be replaced. No mention was stated that the rotors were at there limit of being turned and needed to be replaced. Also, front rotors conditions were not mentioned either. I subsequently took my vehicle to another mechanic and was told and shown the rear pads were NOT at 2mm and that the rear rotors were too worn to be turned. Also, the front rotors showed signs of glazing.

I made an appt with plenty of time to have a full detail. I double checked that the time worked and that there would be a shuttle available. When I got there, I was told they couldn’t do the detail because they had too many people get there at 7 am. Which made no sense, as I had an appt for a detail and have for over a week. I took the day off work to do this, and left with my car still not cleaned.

For the first time, I am very disappointed in Honda. My car has a little more than 25,000 miles and I was told I needed new brake pads and rotors “due to temperature fluctuations”. I have never heard of a car needing these at such low mileage. What’s worse, I had to pay out of pocket even though it’s under warranty. I understand this is a wear item but it seems to me something was defective with my car to need them so soon. The service manager did give me a discount from over $1000 to $600 but would have had to pay $150 for inspection if I wanted to take it and go somewhere else cheaper. I am highly disappointed Honda did not take repair this under warranty. After this experience, I rethinking whether I will buy another Honda in the future.
