I paid a lot of money for an extended warranty. I have not used it in the seven years I’ve owned my car. The one and only time was today. My back up camera has lighting issues. At nite the camera doesn’t work. It’s basically a black screen. During the day the lighting is off and it makes hard to see as well. The tech said he found the problem and Honda wanted to send out a tech because it was so expensive. Then they said there was nothing wrong with it and cameras of cars the same age did the same thing. All that means is the needed to be replaced as well. Then Spreen wrote on my service paper that they couldn’t duplicate the problem. They also wrote the problem was a blurry screen which wasn’t true. I was originally told a tech would take my car home at night to see what happened. Obviously that did not happen because the problem is obvious. There are too many inconsistencies in the story of what happened. It’s obvious Honda won’t honor their ridiculously expensive warranty because the part to fix it was too expensive. This experience was full of lies and deception. Honda list a lifetime customer today and I was thinking of upgrading my vehicle.
