My wife Janice had the EXPEL ultimate applied to her 2020 Tiguan on Tuesday the 24th. (Time it was to be dropped off) We were told it would be a 3 day process and were asked if we wanted a rental car we declined because of virus concerns. The next day(25th of March) we received text message from Nina Shaw saying the Tiguan was ready for pick up. We thought that was odd as service department said it would take much longer as well as what Ed Hildebrand said at the time of purchase. When Janice picked the Tiguan up the 25th she noticed only the front of the vehicle had been washed and treatment applied the rest of the car was very dirty (outside). 1. They couldn't have washed the whole car? 2. No one explained to her that it was just the front third of the car for treatment. 3. They told her that the car could be driven but not to wash it as the process took three days to cure. Never mind it was raining out? Then after complaining of how dirty car was returned to her, service department told her she could wait and they would wash the car after they just told her NOT to wash the car for three days???? 4. When license plates came in we picked them up and asked to have the plates installed, courtesy of most all car dealerships. The person who installed them stripped the holder and if not for me checking the installation plates would have fallen off while driving. They got bigger screws and re installed and complained to me that the dealership has them pay for screws to do this?? My daughter just bought a 2019 Passat the month before from Haselwood and the same thing happened to her only her plate fell off. We also had paint issues with the 2016 CC purchased that after two attempts to fix we just took the car back. My wife likes VW's and we would like to stay local with purchases but it seems customer service at Haselwood has really gone down hill sorry to say. At least for us. Our family has bought 7 cars over the last 30 years from this location but we are going to have to think twice on our next purchase or referral. What was that old saying of Zig Zieglars about every customer has at least 250 friends? I believe with social media that number can be multiplied by much more. Attention to detail! The little things.
