I went to fix a recall on my 2018 RAV 4 that I recently purchased at longo Toyota. After waiting about an hour and a half, Alex explained “there is an issue with your cars battery and whatever factory it came from inserted the wrong size of the battery so you would have to buy a new one.” I was very confused as I bought the car at longo Toyota and I was instructed to bring my car in to “fix the recall.” Not only did my recall not get fixed, but I was also then asked to pay for a battery that didn’t fix which was never my fault when purchasing the car. After instructing me to sign a paper to decline the payment of this battery, he then told me to wait for 10 minutes so that he could gather paperwork. Thirty minutes later I checked in with him regarding the paperwork, and he said that I would need to go check out at the cashier. Instead of instructing me to do so in the first place, and making it seem that I needed to wait where I had been working with him, I had just now wasted another 30-45 minutes. Not to mention that during this entire exchange and waiting around- my car sat in the same exact spot untouched.
All in all it was a complete waste of my time, the recall issue was not resolved, and Alex was of no help and I am very dissatisfied with my experience.

According to page 1, item A, it states that several connectors were broken during the repair and were secured by “fipg”. I was not advised of this. Hopefully this other method of connecting the several lines with broken connectors will not come loose. Can someone let me know what type of connector is fipg.
On page 2 item D it denotes that I monitor the oil pan for leaks after the repair and if it does happen to return it for a reseal. Can it please be confirmed that any reseal needed will be no cost to me.
Otherwise, everything else was fine and service consultant was courteous and helpful by providing a rental car so I didn’t have to wait at the dealership for the car. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Mr Haro was cordial, helpfull and answered all my questions. Most importantly he push to finish my car at my requested time.
