I brought my truck in for a flat tire replacement under the wheel/tire extended warranty on Thursday 12/23/21 with the expectation of picking it up on 12/27/21. When I arrived to pick it up, the tire was satisfactorily replaced however the tire pressure light was flashing and then remained on. When I took it back through the service line I was told that there may be an issue with my tire pressure sensor. I asked why this wasn’t addressed when the tire was replaced and I was told that it wasn’t mentioned to be flashing on the original ticket. When I explained that it was on because of the tire was flat I wasn’t given an explanation as to why it wasn’t addressed or I wasn’t informed there may be an issue with it. I live over an hour away and planned to leave the vehicle as we were planning to head out of town anyway. I was told that the tire pressure sensors would have to be checked and that the vehicle had to remain overnight. I am currently waiting to find out if it indeed needs to remain overnight or if It will be able to be fixed so I can take it home today. Even though a rental offer was made it would be a huge inconvenience to have to come back out. I work in a hospital and my next day off isn’t until 12/31 I would have to wait another 3 days and then have to spend 2+ hours in New Year’s Eve traffic to make a return trip to pick up my vehicle all because a technician didn’t to a complete job and a service writer didn’t check their work.
