I noted that there was a red light on at the right side of the engine coolant gauge. They did not tell me that the light is always on, although I had never noticed it before. In stead they ran extensive and expensive tests and wound up replacing the thermostat, charging me over $400. The temperature gauge irself had never been higher than normal. If they had told me up front that the light is always on, I would not have authorized any repairs.
